Mr. Sears began his legal career in 1988 as a law clerk with Vasti & Sears, PC in Pleasant Valley, N.Y. Upon admission to the New York Bar, he was hired by the firm as an associate attorney. He served as president of the firm’s professional corporation in 1996. During his 10-year tenure with Vasti & Sears, he practiced law in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, commercial contract litigation, trusts and estates, real estate transactions and criminal law.
In June 2000, Mr. Sears selected beautiful Poughkeepsie, N.Y., as the location for the law office of David A. Sears. He founded the firm to provide clients with highly professional legal representation for their businesses and their families. The firm represents small businesses, many of them owned by families that Mr. Sears continues to represents for generations. By providing business, commercial contracts, real estate and estate planning services, Mr. Sears successfully sees his clients through each stage of life.
Mr. Sears’ practice areas include commercial litigation, real estate, and trusts and estates. The law office of David A.
